You need this feature if your browser looks like this
One of the most annoying things when you’re busy working is having too many tabs open at the same time.
It’s easy to get to the end of the day and have a browser that looks like there are more tabs open than you know what to do with!
I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel stressed just thinking about it…
And of course, it’s nearly impossible to find the web page you were looking at earlier in the day. Or worst still you were half way through filling in a form when you got distracted and by the time you remembered and found it again it had timed out, so you had to start all over again.
There is some good news coming if you use Microsoft’s Edge browser. If you don’t know what Edge is, it’s the browser than comes with Windows 10 and 11 and has a logo that looks like a green and blue swirl.
A year ago Microsoft announced a feature called Workspaces, which has just been spotted in a test version of Edge.
Workspaces will let you group together tabs. You will be able to colour code and categorise the groups, and open or shut them all with one click, making tab management much easier.
Maybe you’d keep work and personal tabs separate? Or create groups for different projects?
Annoyingly there’s no release date for this feature yet. If you can’t wait, Google Chrome has a similar feature called tab groups and works much in the same way.
