Three new Teams features to look forward to
If there was one business tool you would be most upset to lose, what would it be?
For many businesses that would be Teams. It’s such an integrated part of so many businesses now I am sure some wonder how they used to operate without it.
It’s loved the world over. And was one of the tools we most embraced during the pandemic, that is if you didn’t join the Zoom camp!
Now, 270 million people use it every month. We use it in our business for multiple functions every day. IT makes collaboration so much easier, whether from a quick message to video conferencing.
Microsoft keeps making Teams better and better for communication, collaboration and productivity.
Here are three updates we’re looking forward to.
First off – later this month, when you change the name of a Teams channel, the name of its corresponding SharePoint folder will also change to match it. That’ll stop you wasting time trying to remember what it used to be called.
Then in June, two exciting new features will launch. The first will improve Teams calls you make from your browser, rather than the Teams app. It should be the same experience with the same features in both.
And you’ll also have a new Chat With Self feature. You’ll be able to send notes, messages, files, and images – to yourself. This may well turn out to be an invaluable feature if you’re not a fan of leaving yourself sticky notes all over your desk, if you’re old school, or writing emails to yourself.
